Well today is my last day of work for three weeks. This will be the first time that I will be stepping outside of my daily routines and get out of dodge. I have spent a great deal of time thinking about how I am going to stay on track and focused while on vacation. For the majority of the days I am away, I will be without cell and wifi, but I have downloaded the Nike Training app as well uploaded maps for running while away- hopefully I can use them. I will be bringing my scale and food scale and a great deal of motivation on this trip! I have already told my daughters that they will be coming for a run with me every morning but, no surprise, they are both game! What would I do without all the support my family gives me along this journey? They are amazing! Today I hit 87lb weight loss since January, I haven’t done that alone, such an amazing support around me between family, friends and co-workers – I am one lucky girl!
Weigh in days are Friday, Friday nights are usually my night to relax and maybe have a drink or two. But not tonight, I am going to start this vacation off on the right track! Our vacation starts with my husband and 2 of 3 children doing the Mud Mulisha, this will be interesting and a good time! I will be on the sidelines this year cheering but next year, I will be in there too getting dirty too.
In the spring, I watched my brother run another half marathon, he truly is amazing and such an inspiration to me. He is currently in Colorado running mountains for three weeks. Yikes! After watching him grunt through the half marathon I signed up for the Good Life 8K Road Race on October 12th in Victoria. I posted on Facebook that I would be doing this along with my entire family and the amount of friends that have signed up to do this with me and support me on my journey is so amazing! I really do have the best friends a girl can ask for!
