My life has been complete chaos trying to manage my home, work, schooling and a huge home renovation. But I am over half way through my program and feeling like I have been able to find a groove with that. Although I have to say, the home renovations have been a huge distraction. I am so excited to have our home updated, I have never loved the state of our house so to see it getting a bit of face lift is nice, but I will be happy once it’s done.
I have also decided that this would be a good time to make a job change, lol, because renos, homework and life weren’t enough. It was a tough decision to make because I do love Royal Roads but it was time for a change and if I went anywhere else I would want it to be with BC Campus, so it’s a win-win for me. I think BC Campus is a great place and I love what they do, plus I get to work with several exRRU staff. I can’t wait to get started. 🙂
I am slowly building my distance back up with my running after my injury. I need to take it slow to successfully stay injury free as I start to train for my first full marathon. My weight loss was not going very well on my own, I just lacked the discipline on the weekends, so I decided to go back with my fit & nut coach Corey. He has me set up on my macros properly and has made me a new weight training program to help strengthen areas that need it to, to avoid injury. For the first time in months I have feeling in control again. The weight is slowly coming down and my distance is slowly going up.
I find it fascinating that among all the chaos, humans can manage it all, while looking forward to make sure we are always taking advantage of opportunities for growth. This is life. 🙂
